The TR's endorsement of Mr. Balderson seems very biased, especially since he's unprepared on the issues in your opinion.
Dr. Johnston deserves a written apology for the phrase "we would be the laughing stock of the state" if he were elected. read more

I feel the area has been truly blessed to have a brave, young man who seeks to honor the Lord running for State Representative of Ohio in the 94th district. Patrick Johnston will serve his fellow man from the heart in earnest. He will take the guff and mud-slinging knowing to honor God speaks volumes to generations to follow. To knuckle under brings shame. Look beyond the candidate and you will find a most gracious lady who loves and supports her husband in all of his endeavors. Only a man of true virtue is deeply respected by his family.
As we see in Luke 7:33, 34 John the Baptist was spoken of in a most derogatory manner. Jesus too, as a wine bibber and a glutton. When one cannot find real fault it's often invented. I speak assuredly that Patrick Johnston is a man of sound integrity. read more

In the Times Recorder's recent endorsement for the 94th District, the editor states that "nominating the physician (Dr. Patrick Johnston) would prove disastrous for the GOP" and that "Johnson espoused views that place him far out of the mainstream."
My question for the readers is, "Are Len LaCara's views mainstream, or has he just determined for everyone else what the politically correct positions should be?" read more

After reading more "fair" appearing reporting by Brian Gadd in the Balderson-Johnston article, I was surprised by the editors who joined together to proclaim that Patrick Johnston as the "wrong remedy" for Ohio (TR 2-17). Even though Mr. Gadd described Johnston as "attacking" his opponent and Balderson was noted as refusing "to get into the back-and-forth," yet at least the priorities of the two were indicated by Balderson's desire to put the economy first and Johnston's desire to put education of children first.
From the "wrong remedy" article, one would suspect that Patrick Johnston's views on schooling might produce barefoot farmboys who only read books in the sleeping lofts of their backwoods cabins. Yet I wonder how many Abe Lincolns our current public education could produce. Our current public education system did not produce the powerhouse of economics that we call America. What produced this great country it was an education system that held a sense of Christian morality high and in fact taught it. And because of it, God blessed this good land and its people. read more

As citizens of our district it is important to select a candidate wisely, for we entrust that person to govern over us. What kind of person do we want to represent us? Consider Dr. Patrick Johnston, who is running for state representative.
As a patient of Dr. Johnston's, we respect his sincere interest in those he sees; as members of our church we've appreciated the presence his family has brought to our congregation: their love for the Lord, deep devotion to their children and their example of pursuing righteousness. Over the years they have faithfully served us in the children's ministry, as worship leaders and helping with the disabled. Dr. Johnston and his wife, Elizabeth serve our community as well. Several thousand have attended the "Passion for Life" event held at Secrest Auditorium for the past three years. read more

Ohioans for Concealed Carry is pleased to announce our endorsement of Dr. Patrick Johnston, who is running in the 94th District for State Representative. Dr. Johnston is a strong proponent for the 2nd Amendment and concealed carry.... Patrick is an avid shooter, hunter and fisherman.... Dr. Johnston has been a concealed carrier for ten years, and both he and his wife hold concealed handgun licenses from Ohio. They enjoy shooting together and teaching gun safety to their children. We at OFCC wish to support candidates the show a demonstrated track record of pro-concealed carry dedication and effort. Dr. Johnston meets those standards admirably. OFCC hopes that voters in the 94th District will choose a candidate that is sympathetic to our voice and our needs. Dr. Johnston is that candidate.

I appreciate your kind comments and dedication to those ideals which have made our Country great. The people of Ohio would be blessed to have you as a leader in your state. You have a beautiful family and a wonderful platform which is very similar to the one I had running for Governor. May God bless your efforts to serve Him.
-Roy S. Moore, Former Chief Justice, Alabama Supreme Court / President, Foundation for Moral Law
I hope and pray the 94th District of Ohio comes to recognize the great privilege they have in electing Dr. Johnston as their State Representative. He is gifted with the insight of the original intent of our Founding Fathers and the Constitution, which so many have given their lives to uphold.
-Margie Sindelar, Former Director, Coshocton County Right to Life
As a government school teacher and, more importantly, a parent, I not only agree with Dr. Patrick Johnston's ideas on education, I applaud them. Every government school teacher... knows that the number one factor in a student's achievement is the parent(s). Johnston proposes giving parents much more say and control over their children's education by giving them more choice.
-Douglas Miller, Roseville
Keep up the good work. Our prayers are with you.
-Father Luke Turon, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Zanesville
Some vote for issues. Some vote for self-interest. I vote for Dr. Patrick Johnston because he cares about the right things. I vote for Dr. Patrick Johnston, a Statesman who does something about what he believes in - God, his fellow man, the right to life and honest government.
-Chaplain Len Gongola
We want to thank you for all that you are doing to support and represent our families. Having a large family yourself, you know well the sacrifices that must be made these days to make ends meet. It will be your faith as a Christian as well as your dedication to family that will see you through this campaign and beyond. It is a great comfort knowing you will be representing our family when you become our State Representative. May God truly bless your efforts.
-Marsha and Steve Parmiter and family
I was sent a link to your site today by a friend who is huge into the second amendment and he knows I am concerned about all our rights. He also knows me as a huge Dr. Ron Paul supporter. ...I want to encourage you to keep up the good fight because the system is against you. ... Well Sir, I respect you and will pray for you and your family.
-Bob McCune
It is difficult to find folks who will commit to anything that is right anymore.... To be prolife with NO EXCUSES, NO EXCEPTIONS... To commit to saying something is right or wrong with no gray areas is a refreshing thing to see these days. With moral relativism abounding, it's is wonderful to come across your website.
-Lisa M.
May God use you powerfully to support and protect our family values in this great state and country.
-Marsha P., Nashport
Your "Statesman, not a politician" tag line is what folks need to understand. With God's help you'll make it into the statehouse. Good luck and God bless.
-G.M.
I have been praying that God would raise up more men to such commitment as yours. May He richly bless your work.
-E.S.
Sorry we can't be with you at your 11/2 fundraiser. But know that we support you 100%. Enclosed is a check to help.
-B.B.
I am not able to contribute to your campaign at this time, but I am in full agreement with all you say. I first read your views on NEWSWITHVIEWS, and was astounded that anyone still thought that way. God bless you and give you favor with the voters, and give you power to stop this genocide in our country.
In Christ,
-J.M.
I wish I could give more, but we are strapped financially. Gasoline taxes and high prices are killing Ohioans. It trickles down to everything you buy... food, clothing, and other items. Why are parents charged fees for books and lab fees when we pay taxes for education?
-M.M.
I’ve read your articles on newswithviews.com and wanted to let you know I support all you are doing. I pray God will raise up a man like you here in Iowa. God bless you for all you are doing.
In Christ,
-L.S.
I’m a public school teacher who coaches… It is great to see someone who is serving the Lord and trying to make a good difference. I would be interested in finding out exactly what would be involved in helping with your campaign…
Sincerely,
-R.S., Dresden
I appreciate your endeavor to stand and promote the right that is so needed in our day. I realize you are engaged in a great battle. My prayers are with you.
God bless and strengthen you,
-M.S.
Good luck! We need people like you in office, God-fearing people. When someone tells it like it is, in the Bible, people get upset. It is much easier to live a lie or half lie than to try and live the truth.
Your friends,
-D.C.
I pray you will win!
-H.H.
I hope the people in Zanesville will support and vote for you.
-R.B.
We are 100% behind your beliefs… We must put God and our Lord Jesus Christ first in our schools and government offices as well as our homes. We will support you the best we can.
Respectfully,
-C.M. & J.M.
May God be with you in this endeavor. I pray you will win and fill this seat with a godly man. May God bless you!
-J.M.
I've been praying for you daily. God bless you and yours.
-Delores, Zanesville
We NEED more representatives like you! My prayer is that God will raise up men of integrity to serve in public office all over our land. Be BLESSED!
-Sue B.
Ohioans would do well to listen to you and vote you in. You guys are losing jobs and people and Indiana, my new home, is taking many of them in, especially with Republicans here working hard to abolish property taxes. If Ohio wants to be competitive in education, jobs and the economy, they better reverse course. And putting you in office would be a good start towards that. Your interview was outstanding. Congratulations on where you've been thus far.
-Nedd
Patrick is one of a kind; leader, Christian, physician, and father. May God raise more like him for our country.
-Thomas (a physician from Georgia)
Dr. Johnston has been an acquaintance of mine for several years. Yes, he is a devout Christian with unequivocal faith in our Heavenly Father. His devotion to his patients and his family reflects great examples of humility, service and desire of honorable principles.
Apart from his devotion to our Creator, Dr. Johnston is a young man with great drive and energy in pursuit of worthy causes to battle against the evils that plague our society today. Anyone who spends even a small amount of effort to investigate the causes of our degradation in America cannot avoid the realization that a subsidious and intentional agenda has been implemented to destoy the family unit and remove Godly principles from our government and society as a whole. Indeed, one only needs to read the Communist Manifesto to discover that this country has deteriorated into that which we have struggled to oppose.
Dr. Johnston has taken upon himself to stand up and serve the people and protect the principles upon which this nation was built, secured by our constitutions, and established upon the foundation that our Creator is the supreme sovereign. For the past 100 years, the institutions of government in the United States has systemmatically eroded those very principles that protect you and me from corrupt government and martial rule. What good is freedom and liberty if the people are suppressed from exercising them?
It takes people of great courage to stand up for what is right and true. I know that Dr. Johnston stands for truth....
Dr. Johnston is a good man, a man dedicated to honorable principles for the good of your family, the good of this nation, and the good of humanity. He deserves your support. Many good men may rise, but few can maintain their proper direction. If you desire your world to be better, then we must work together to put better leaders on the front lines. And, we must be ready to support those leaders with everything that is within us. If we want our leaders to do the right things for the people, then the people must first do the right thing by supporting good leaders who believe, support and will fight for the right causes.
Our nation is sick, and I believe that Dr. Johnston is a small part of the cure.

As an addictions counselor, I see regularly the damage done to individuals and families by gambling -- whether it's bingo, the lottery, poker, "legal" slots, or internet gambling. I thank you for your efforts to keep gambling from expanding in Ohio.
